Title: Next-Gen consoles!
Description: Let's face it already!

Wii, Xbox 360, and PLAYSTATION 3 are current gen consoles. This topic is for ideas on what you think they should have in the Next-Gen consoles, or whether or not you think they will survive, my vote is for the death of playstation! I think Microsoft has one generation left to go, we may come in with something from Andersoft Games during the 9th generation, but it will more likely be during the 10th generation. My goal in a console would be to get as many people in the room as possible, even the spectators should be having fun, with new capabilities like bringing you into the game even more than before by scanning you in. I would have to have sweet abilities beyond the norm. So, IDEAS!

Oh, and what is a good name for our first console?

I think that Nintendo will die.

You are completely evil! *evil *evil *evil *evil *evil

Now, let us look at the facts, Nintendo's current console is the most popular and the one that has the most sales. The PLAYSTATION 3 on the other hand has the lowest amount of sales, and the only company that has survived against Nintendo is Sega, and their 5th gen console was suffering so much that they released a new one, they basically pioneered online gaming, but even that didn't save them. Nintendo had little game things that were considered part of the first generation, they released arcade games, and then came in during the third generation. They didn't do exceptionally well with the Gamecube, but that is their lowest point and they still did pretty well. As for Sony, their Playstation came about as an attachment for a Nintendo console, since then it has been rather popular, with the Playstation 2 being the most popular of the last generation, and the upstart Xbox had far too many bugs for it to actually be good despite the most likely higher popularity than the Gamecube. The Xbox 360 has many very nice features, and is far superior to the PLAYSTATION 3, the Wii beats the Xbox 360 in popularity, having a lot of good gameplay, but not the best graphics. The Xbox 360 could last for quite a while, but the PLAYSTATION 3 has far too many different models and it is hard to tell whether or not you can play your old games. It is far too large and costs much too much money, in fact most of the reason it hasn't already failed is due to the fact it has Blu-Ray and is therefore multipurpose. I think that with the low prices in regular Blu-Ray players that the PLAYSTATION 3 sales will begin to decrease even more. As for many of the games that only come out on the PLAYSTATION 3, many of them would easily port to the other consoles and therefore there is no reason to keep the console, I don't think that the company could do what they did again, when they started they were losing $200 on every console they sold, and they simply don't have enough good ideas to continue making new consoles. They just upgrade, they don't really add very many new features.

Nintendo will not die, they are extremely ingenuitive, and will find some way to amaze us.

As it were, this is for discussion of what we think they should do for the Next-Gen consoles, not the current gen.
