Description: The official information on DV!

Well, I will start off with races, keep in mind that most of what I say is not entirely for certain yet.
Races:
To start it off we have the Oshnak!
Oshnak - This is the native race of Dungeon Valley, they keep to themselves and were rarely seen by humans up until recent times. Little is known about the valley before the humans arrived, but it most likely was a rather hostile place to live and the Oshnak being the only species in the valley with superior intellect realized this and decided to live underground. During the time when they originally lived underground they dug out many tunnels and eventually many began to fill with water from ponds and streams and the such, because of this they evolved over time to become an aquatic race that could breath both in the air and the water. Slowly as time went on their bodies evolved to what they are today, slim and elongated with certain fish like qualities including longer, webbed feet, webbed hands, and gills on the sides of their neck. Because they spend the majority of their time underground they are very light skinned and they have good eyes for the dark, but because of their time spent in the water they can not see as well as the Kidori can. They have a small village of sorts somewhere around the swamp, they are not that unfriendly and can talk the human language as all the races in the valley are now able to do. The Oshnak are the tallest of all the races in the valley coming in between 7' 2" & 8' 10", and are invariably mistaken for giants buy any outsider that enters the valley.
That should keep you reading for a while, until next time, see ya!
Next time we will feature the Zutobu, I would like to mention that we don't much like the name Zutobu, and we need to come up with a new one that sounds similar, mainly it should start with a Z, but we are open for ideas.
Oh, and I implemented one new emoticon, *??, see! More to come soon! Emoticons and info!

More info!
Zutobu - This race is not native to the valley, but arrived before the humans causing their mischaracterization as being a native race to the valley. They are a flying race, but look more similar to bats than to birds, although this similarity is very subtle and can only be seen if examined very closely, their wings resembling those of a bat the most. They will sometimes build their nests in trees and on the mountain, but usually prefer the clouds, being light enough to walk on them, the only other race known capable of doing this is the Oshnak, but because of the semi miniature size of there buildings the Oshnak are unable to fit and therefore don't visit the clouds often. They are very agile when flying in the air, but are slower and it is much more cumbersome for them to walk on the ground. They are the smallest of races, being about 3/4 the size of a regular human, being usually between 3.5' and 4.5'. They have large ears, and can track something about 500 feet away effectively in the dark, they have bat-like wings that are attached to their arms, but the wings are slightly smaller in proportion to their bodies, and they are sort of elastic and will stretch instead of always coming out when their arms are raised. The Zutobu build their buildings in the clouds, but they are small and must be lightweight although the Zutobu know of something they use to keep these buildings that would otherwise not float on the clouds stay up. Humans will not fit into the buildings, and are too heavy for the clouds to support them anyways, falling through in a quicksand like matter. The Kidori on the other hand would most likely fit into these small buildings, but have never been able to try due to the fact that they are so heavy that they drop like a cannonball right through the clouds. The Oshnak being as light as they are are able to walk around on the clouds just like the Zutobu, but because of the extra height have absolutely no chance of fitting into any of the buildings.
More soon! Probably some time next week! *evil

New race info!
Humans - The humans arrived in the valley through the pass many years ago, at the time they were unaware of the other races that also occupied the valley because of the fact that they simply were not searching for anything of the sort and therefore did not notice the previous two races that tended to keep to themselves. The humans built the town in the middle of the valley upon arrival, this has come to be the strongest and safest place and many seek refuge here, even the other races. This is the only town, the rest of the races have small villages of sorts but only in very odd locations, and definately less hospitable to any race but the village's own. <no such thing as magic> The humans were the first to introduce the idea of a currency in which a certain amount of coins is worth a certain amount of produce, and there currency the "Doubloon" is the only true currency in the valley. The humans did not discover the other races of the valley for many many years, first finding the existence of the Zutobu due to them flying in the sky, and after a little while many became curious as to whether or not there were any other races in the valley and set off to search for them, somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 of the adventurers never returned and the rest returned with stories of much worse creatures than had been encountered up till that point. It went on like this for quite some time until one day a man sank through the swamp and found himself in their village, they were unable to understand each other at first and had to draw pictures, but he was able to safely return to the town and proclaim the news that another race had been discovered. Since then great strides have been made for peace and harmony between the different races (Mostly lead by the humans), and the language of the Humans is the universal language now used, only some elders of the two species remember all of the old languages, and are very wise having been here much longer than the humans. The humans are usually between 5' 6" & 6' 5", and are the second tallest race in the valley.
That is all for now, check back soon because I will probably update it sooner than normal because Humans aren't a unique race!

Hang on hang on: This was what I intended to be put in my DV updates thread. Or actually, this would be something you just want in a seperate file, that you should LINK to, because theres so much there.
And dont go leaking secrets of DV! such as how to get to places. And theres no such thing as magic in DV: that part in your post needs to be redone entirely.

Sorry about the long wait, I sort of forgot for a while. Abyll, this is clearly stated at the top as not being final. I'm just putting it up here so that they can become more familiar with the races and their background and the general idea behind them. You ultimately have all power, but if I send you this stuff, and you don't email me back with revisions for me to make, then I don't know what you want!
Now, here is the final race!
Kidori - The Kidori were found in a north-east cave in the valley one day, being the most recent race to arrive, they having often associated with humans in their previous land knew the language and many of the customs of the humans, but retain the most knowledge of their own original language out of all the races inhabiting the valley. When they emerged from the cave they told stories of a large monster that ran rampant in the caves and killed many of their dear friends, so they had wandered around caves and self-dug tunnels through the mountains to flee their attacker. When it was apparent that they were of no match they used their great knowledge of building tunnels and the such to seal the monster away where is could not hurt others, but the caves gained a distinctly evil aura and many mutated and gruesome things now live there, they are many sensitive to light and therefore do not leave the cave, but they lurk in the shadows waiting for something to come along. The Kidori have since settled into the valley very well, choosing to live in the mountain to the north of the town (they say it's more solid rock, and has less evil or something). While they do burrow under the ground they build their houses in the sides of mountains in caves that they construct themselves, they are very good at working with stone, but metal smithing escapes them, therefore they live most of their lives underground where it is safe from the wild animals that live in the north forest. When they visit town they usually opt to go via tunnels dug under the forest to avoid getting lost or hurt, where they might not be found for months or years even. They interact with the humans often, trading goods, and teaching them how to make effective tools to use for digging and for shaping rocks. They are short and plump being the shortest race of the valley, and they heaviest as well being slightly lazy, they usually are between 2' 9" and 3' 6", they are usually on the taller side, but some have been quite short. They usually weigh 50% more than a regular human, but some have been known to weigh as much as two to three times as much as a regular human. They have claw like hands that are much better for digging then regular hands, and very strong arm and leg muscles.
I'm not done yet, another post with more info coming right up! (Abyll, these kinds of places are the ONLY places where you can double post, and if you make any short posts or posts that are on the same exact subject, then you still need to edit the post. Oh, and don't post in this topic anymore!)

And here is the rest of the info I am going to make public till we have a very official, set-in-stone, fully approved set of info for public release. (Possibly as the Dungeon Valley Official Instruction Manual!)
Story
You start out in the peaceful valley, but something seems amiss, the animals are much more violent and evil than they seemed before, and strange things have been happening, like the fact that all that enter through the pass make it safely through only at the end to have the avalanche appear behind them, and no matter how far back they dig the pass never seems to end. In this setting you learn of a legend of a human that came to the pass long ago that was trapped here due to an avalanche and entered a cave never to be seen again, since then these strange things have been building up eventually seeming odd to a traveler. For instance the avalanche seems to occur exactly the same way every time, and many of the people from the time of the adventurer have descendants that seem to look and act nearly identical to how they acted, and the old lady seems to be the same one that was there when the adventurer was there. If you are a human you start out in the collapsed pass, but if you are a different race you start out in the village constructed by your people, but the goal in the beginning is to make it to the town.
